Hi, I'm Stephen
Stephen Roberts, Guitar Instructor
Hi, I'm Stephen, a guitarist and instructor based in Seal Beach, California, and a current student at Berklee College of Music. I've been teaching for over five years, including guitar and orchestra with kids across Asia and Polynesia, and I've spent more than a decade performing professionally as a percussive fingerstyle guitarist.
I teach all ages and levels, from first-time beginners to experienced players finding their own voice. Every lesson is patient, relaxed, and built around your goals, whether that's strumming your favorite songs or diving into fingerstyle, classical, jazz, pop, blues, or rock. Along the way, you'll learn to truly understand the fretboard and build a foundation in music theory you'll use in real playing.
Music brought me joy from a young age, and helping students experience that same joy is my favorite part of teaching. I'd love to help you get started and make real progress on the guitar.
